Why Call It ‘The Big Day’, When You Can Make A Wedding Last For An Entire Week?! – Live Life Queen Size!

A wedding event with lots pomp and grandeur is definitely a treat to eyes.  But when it goes on for seven days with the same fun and frolic it becomes like a festival to feast. Here is the story of our first Bangalorean bride, who had a mega seven-day wedding event with endless celebrations.

A loving family of four, parents, a doting brother and their beloved daughter, Deepti, celebrated the wedding of the young princess with all the glamour and grandeur that wooed the guests! Deepti, a daddy’s darling, mamma’s pet and also Dilip-her brother’s little angelic sister, the wedding had to be extra special for everyone.

Deepti got to meet her price charming Roshan at her house and got to know each other during their second meet at Leela Palace, they decided they were meant to be. Then kick-started their whole journey with a wedding, a seven day mega event.

First two days saw traditional ritual called “Hoseke” in the bride’s house. The entire family participated with full vigor for the same, followed by Sangeet at Temple Tree. A White and Red theme for Lagna kind of got the family on emotional mode as they got ready to watch Deepti embrace a new phase of journey in life.

With a crowd of 300, the pink, green and orange themed ceremony was again a gala event which saw dance and masti along with the colours of the mehendi splash throughout the household!

A session of Bangle ceremony with white and yellow theme set-up had a rustic village setting with a backdrop of red bricks rangoli on the sides. And of course, the evening of the wedding saw the Haldi-Turmeric ceremony.

Well, the fun couldn't just end already and so there was a ‘Grand Entry’! It was four Harley Davidson bikes in the front, followed by 45 cars and then the bride and then the groom arrived at the Bangalore Palace. The groom was given a royal welcome worthy of a king. The bride was brought like a queen in a palanquin and the couple was then lifted on a hydraulic stage where confetti was showered on them.

As a start to all the fun and frolic, the groom shot the orchid designed Cupid arrow to the air symbolizing a ‘taking off’ of their married-love-life!

A classic light flute and harp recital by UK based artists welcomed the guests to the reception. The guest list for the reception with stunning decors of Thai ‘Stupa’ concept in mind, also saw the who’s who of the political arena of the state. The elite guest list included the CM of Karnataka Sri. Siddaramaiah, D.K Shivakumar, KPCC President Parameshwar, HD Kumaraswamy, S M Krishna to name few. After the reception there was a late night Dandiya session which the crowd gladly attended with immense enthusiasm.

At the Muhurtham, the theme for the venue was peacock and the shades that were used were golden blue and purple. Deepthi entered in a grand Bombay parda bedecked in jewellery designed by Creation Jewellery and draped in Kanchipuram Babu Shah's rich silk saree, while her groom was accompanied by young Bharatanatyam dancers and four ushers with an umbrella.

Deepthi expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her parents and her brother Dilip for giving her a wedding to remember for a lifetime. Her love for her brother has only increased magnanimously and she said, “Dilip, Thank you for bringing all my dreams true and I love you immensely”.
