Extremely pleased to feature the wedding story of Television Anchor and Professional Dancer, Ishwarya Prabhakar, ‘May your love grow with each day that passes, may you be lifelong friends and may the faith you have in each other, grow stronger with time!’ I'm Iswarya Prabakar known to you all as "television anchor", "dancer" - in short, a media personality.. The other side of me is I'm a good scholar (university topper), an artist (sketching), a home bird (definitely not a party type). Pranessh Kannappan (my husband) neither knew me nor media (that's what I first liked about him). My parents got his alliance through a common family friend and both the families wanted us to talk to each other.
PK (Pranessh Kannappan) is working in USA, so our first chat was over Skype....that's how it all started. After a month of chatting, PK dropped a visit to India and gave a surprise proposal... My "yes" lead to our engagement which was on August 3rd 2014. My best buddy Narmada Veni, an entrepreneur, designer, events organizer, etc...helped me in every part of the wedding prep and execution. She had contacts with pattu saree weavers; so I got sarees for entire family and my Muhurtham saree from them. After a big round of search we found my Sangeeth outfit in Nungambakkam DIVA...Narmada Veni and I designed my reception gown...Accessories were all from "mint street" from different shops. For me, I had limited time,resource and budget.. My brother and my fiancé was in USA during the wedding preparation period, so myself, mom and my friends had to take up all the responsibilities...
Those were the most hectic and most fun filled period of my life! Designer,Decorator, Wedding organizer - Krish Events Management, Narmada Veni Photos & Video – Focuz Studios Catering- VKM caterers Sangeeth has been my dream from childhood... I actually planned the entire event but my bro,friends and PK did some internal surprise plans and made it a blast... It was one awesome memorable day for all of us. Full of dedications, surprises, happiness, joy... Sangeeth location - Mahamudra restaurant. One more event to be mentioned is our pre-wedding shoot... I proposed back to PK on that day. My photographer 'Chandru' helped me a lot to execute the plan at its best!! It's was a surprise dancing proposal. My whole family (including my grandma) was there to watch me propose to PK. We also made an invite video for sending in whatsapp to all my media friends. We had 'n' number of difficulties during those 6 months... I had to work on ground level for everything not just shopping; from wedding card printing to Mandapam booking every single thing was right under my nose... I had financial problems, shooting date clashes since I was leaving my media profession I had to finish up all the projects I was doing... My mom, my brother and my friend Veni helped me with every step of it... I finally understood the meaning of a Tamil saying "kalyanatha panni paar veeta katti paar".. I went to Kaya for skin treatment as I got really bad pimples after my engagement... Other than that usual curd and kadala Maavu which I used once a week to balance my makeup routine and powerful shooting sets light. PK made a complete plan for honeymoon... We went to Hawaii - Maui ,shereton... We did scuba there and it was like a much needed vacation after the big gala wedding.
