Have you ever wondered how exciting it would be if you meet your childhood sweetheart after so many years and get connected with them after all those years? We are going to get immersed in one such love story of Kalai and Manish Vikram. Kalai is one such girl who can befriend anybody she talks to and we are sure she is full of life and adventure. " Manish is an intelligent and smart guy and I couldn't ask for a better person in my life" says our chirpy bride. Both the bride and groom are from Chennai and they went school together. The groom moved out of the country for few years and they got reconnected during a family function. "We get to see each other after a long time and we exchanged contacts through FB and eventually we fell in love. Yes, FB played a major role in our love story Our families were friends for long time and they instantly approved our wish. They were also very happy for us" says the bride.
Here comes the shock. "I am not a big time shopaholic" confesses the bride and that makes her quite interesting and unique from all the other brides. But she made sure all her outfits and accessories were in trend and her wardrobe is a mix of tradition and contemporary. There is a touch of authenticity and tradition in her wedding and engagement outfits.
She had a simple engagement ceremony at home with close family and friends. She wore a kanchipuram saree customised from a private weaver and we absolutely loved the back of the blouse and her hair neatly combed into a bun. " I am more of a Kondai girl " adds our cheerful bride Kalai. "We had our marriage registration on the very same day prior to our actual wedding for the visa purpose to speed up". Rashida did her makeup. " She is my friend and makeup is one thing that I am completely satisfied with" says the bride. She adds, “Rolls and Reels covered my engagement and photoshoot. They did an extremely handsome job”
Tell us about your wedding shopping?
For all the wedding sarees, we made the weavers from Kanchipuram come to Chennai and customised my sarees. Blouses are done by Mehaj from Anna nagar. She is a popular designer and has done an excellent job.
I purchased my lehengas and reception outfit from @evoluzione#. And they gave me lot of fabric ideas to choose from. The celebrity designer Gaurav Gupta from Delhi, actually designed my reception gown and Evoluzion implemented it perfectly. It took almost one month to decide on a fabric.
Where did you do your jewellery shopping from?
Entire jewellery shopping was done at GRT and they have the largest collection of jewellery and I will be in awe every time I go to GRT.
Makeup and Mehendi:
For all my events, Rashida from Final touches did the makeup and mehendi. As I told earlier, she did an amazing job and since she is my friend, I felt comfortable and she easily understood my expectation and presented me that look.

Varun is just amazing and he captured our wedding in a filmy way. He is a go-to guy for candid photography and he just elevates the output to a different level.
Wedding film is captured by Magic Elephants and everyone loved our wedding video.
Decor:
Decor was done by @a-cube-project#. And we worked on the theme for months. I wanted a specific theme for each event and they have perfected my ideas. Since he lived in San Francisco and I lived in Anna nagar, we blended Anna nagar bridge and the bridge of love from San Francisco and we had that theme. For Sangeeth, we had a Moroccan theme. We wanted a nice beach wedding concept and the guys from A cube have done a good job.

Health regime:
I always believe in the Concept of being fit and worked out regularly and that continued for wedding preparation too. I took a lot of fluids and for skin, I took my daily dose of serum and sunblock. I haven't done any facials or beauty packs specifically for wedding.
Honeymoon:
We went to Maldives for honeymoon and stayed at W resorts and had a fantastic time there too.
